We're the Only Ones Diverse Enough
A veteran state trooper alleges in a whistleblower lawsuit she was retaliated against by her superiors after raising objections that police academy background checks were compromised because of pressure to increase racial diversity among State Police ranks. [More]But "background checks" are demanded for us by the "Only Ones" über alles crowd...

We're the Only Ones Accepting Enough
Former Bald Knob Police Chief Erek Balentine is set to accept a plea deal in federal court regarding stolen property, according to his attorney [More]And what a deal!
I remember talking about this case before here, but don't have time to go looking for links right now and they probably wouldn't add much anyway. Just look at what they dropped on this guy after all the lies he told to settle for a stolen property plea they had him dead to rights on anyway.
Kind'a makes you wonder what else would unravel if you started pulling threads. and if he hadn't been given incentive to clam up.

Finally Something to Sink Their Hooks Into
Hancock’s great grandfather was an “avid hunter, life member of National Rifle Association, a Republican National Committee contributor,” according to his obituary. [More]Let the foaming-at-the-mouth blame-apportioning begin!
Help Wanted: Inquire Within
Jiffy Pop
The false alarm was traced to the Tory building, near the centre of the campus, where students were reportedly popping about 80 balloons, sending some students into a panic and triggering the emergency call. [More]A false alarm or a malicious one...?
I didn't give this one an "Only Ones" title because a rapid response was appropriate. I find it hard to believe that the students doing the popping were oblivious to the potential for others to react the way they did. Could they really be that stupidly self-absorbed? It seems intentional, and inducing panic in others is a good way to get people hurt.
Why is my first reaction to suspect an anti-gun stunt to make a point?

I Guess We Could Start with 'California'
For NRA to expand into “scoring” votes on immigration (not to mention re-calling Grover Norquist from the NRA Board of Directors), there needs to be more evidence than just some adverse polling data. There not only needs to be clear and convincing evidence of the “cultural terraforming” cited by Codrea, but also that measures short of going beyond the “single issue” mandate of NRA would be utterly ineffective. [More]I have a magazine article deadlined for today, so I don't have time right now to go through all the doors this guy left open. Tomorrow is another day.
I can tell the guy has worked as a Fairfax apologist. This will be fun.
Gowdy Doody
"In the past few months the number of unaccompanied alien minors unlawfully entering the U.S. soared to over 17,000 and the number of family units increased to 21,000," Chair Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) informed the U.S. House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security in a February 4 hearing on Capitol Hill. "If these trends continue it is predicted there will be a 30 percent increase in the record high numbers we witnessed in 2014." [More]So why the endorsement for the Amnesty Man?
Chelsea to Microthrong: Hillary to Find 'Common Ground' with 'Racists,Homohobes, Sexists'...
"While it's important to have a president who knows when to stand her ground and give no purchase to the racist, homophobic, sexist rhetoric and policy ideas that are coming out of the Republican side, it's also important to have a president who knows how to find common ground," Chelsea Clinton said. [More]The Opposite Day is strong in this one. The only people that makes any sense to are the handful of stupid "progressives" who turned out for the worship service. I wonder how much sound editing was needed to mask out the cud-chewing.
As for equal pay for equal work and sexist discrimination...
