The Anti-Colin

A Virginia Tech graduate who lived through the 2007 mass shooting on that campus said he perceived a cultural bias in favor of anti-carry partisans. Nicholas Roland, a Ph.D. candidate in U.S. history at UT, said the “worst situation is to have no defense back” in the event of a mass shooting. “The police were not fast enough and 32 people died” in the Virginia Tech massacre because no one else was armed. [More]
You mean someone who had time to call 911 would have had time to defend himself and possibly save a lot of lives...? Instead of dedicating his life (for pay) to making sure everyone else is mandated by "law" to be just as useless as he was?

Oh, and her's one other thing I'm calling BS on:
Ana Lopez, the co-founder of Students Against Campus Carry at UT, said that though the “Campus (DILDO) Carry” protest on Wednesday went smoothly, she received online death threats after the protest.
Someone actually said he was going to kill you Ana? And you turned that over to law enforcement? That's what a death threat is. It's not some troll expressing a hope that you suffer the consequences you would  impose on others.

I see the death threat card played a lot by these hive insects, trying to make themselves out to be martyrs / victims and gun owners to all be murderers-in-waiting -- that is, lying.

Capture the Flag

This has resurfaced due to rich dilettante Kaepernick's recent bellyaching. If he did this today, Monday would be condemned by "progressives" for being a right-wing hater and free speech violator, and probably charged with assault and theft to boot.

Here's the rest of the story.

The "protester," William Thomas, and his then-11-year-old son, have faded into well-deserved obscurity.  I wonder if either one would resurface if Rick Monday pursued the $1M offer for the flag, which he kept ...

The first step toward any reconciliation of policy positions will be an acknowledgement from individuals on both sides that they can be both right and wrong at the same time. [More]
Is "reconciliation" the new word for "surrender"?

And after all this, the writer still spouts crap like "guns also cause a significant number of preventable deaths"...?

Assuming he was accurately quoted, this Brian Hiebert character sounds like a real ...uh..."sportsman."

An Explosive Development

ATF’s sudden and unexpected change in policy on wetted nitrocellulose will likely have a significant impact on industry’s ability to deliver products to the military and commercial markets. Industry members have relied on the exemption for wetted nitrocellulose for many years and are aware of no accidental detonations or diversion of this product into illicit channels. Consequently, it is unclear why ATF believed it necessary to change its policy and, more importantly, why ATF announced the change in a newsletter article with no advance notice to industry. [More]
It's because they're being directed to do so by totalitarian scum who want to disarm Americans, and this is just another of the thousand in-your-face cuts they'll inflict to make that happen.

It's because Thomas Brandon is a "just following orders" tool.

Anybody see anybody in Congress doing anything about this?  You know, all those people gun owners helped into power?

Anybody going to contact representatives backed by gun owners and ask?

I did.

Unarmed? What About Unfisted?

So it would be racist to shoot this feral goddamn savage because he's "unarmed"?  And it's racist to call a feral goddamn savage a feral goddamn savage? Because that's what these feral goddamn savages are, and it has everything to do with conduct. [More]

My motto comes to mind.

I also can't help feeling tremendous sympathy for the surviving heartbroken brother.  He lost his only family and companion, and it sounds like they were both productive workers, outrageously victimized by feral goddamn savages.

Those bringing people in to this country for political and economic gains share moral culpability for their cynical and inhumane exploitation of human misery. And its no coincidence they're the same ones who ensure an unending supply of feral goddamn savages.

I Guess the Answer is 'No'

No answer. So complaints of AP reporter Alison Noon's unethical reporting should be given credence?

The petition organizers still need plenty of actual help.  Look at what just one guy could do.

But that's ever been the case on such projects. When I was involved in SoCal activism, a handful of us  -- the same handful every damn time -- would do the labors of Hercules while most remained blissfully ignorant/deliberately apathetic.

Gun owners could have the right to keep and bear arms secured if 90% of them just got off their damn lazy asses.

What's that? Even if the petitions qualify they'll never pass in an election? Worst case scenario, you make the antis spend $10M or so on commercials to make sure, and that's money they won't have to support their next attack.

The Status Quo 'Maverick'
