One thing's for sure -- they're not doing this because the believe the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.  And it looks like our FOIA may just be a catalyst for some change.

    Jeepers, it wasn't to raise revenue at all? You mean they passed a prohibition in the guise of a tax law, which raised virtually NO REVENUE?

    Well, shucks! I thought it was settled case law that a tax measure which is so burdensome that it inhibits commerce and thus raises no revenue, is really a prohibition, and thus null and void.

    Hey! Ya reckon those "shucks by golly really good guys" in ATF just don't know?
