Is This Some Kind of Bust?*

Not if they're going for "$1,800 to $2,200" it isn't. [More]
I notice they make no such claim in their press release. If I can find the actual indictment, I'll check there.

  1. Place in NYC cops can get any gun or part they want. Don't remember where offhand and my source is gone.

  2. "Automatic weapon"? Given the long barrel length, that looks like a semi-auto carbine, but fake news sells better.

  3. Anyone but me hoping to see flaming pants at one of these press conferences?

  4. "All the weapons seized were purchased *legally* by suspects *or their straw buyers* in Virginia, officials said.”

It was wise of the NY Post not to maintain a comment section where people can correct their lies. The weight of the electrons involved might cause Manhattan to capsize, like Guam.

  5. The REAL Thompson submachinegun had a barrel that was only about 6" past the forward grip, and later models had a muzzle brake.
    Just check Wikipedia.

  6. Every press report indicts Virginia as having lax, weak, or loose laws, as though the South were their problem.

Maybe their laws are too draconian, strict, rigid, or up-yours -- they need to deal with the marketplace more responsibly.

  7. Oh no! Not the dreaded "Glocks with extended ammunition magazines"!

ECON 101, when there is no demand, the supply does not matter.
