St. Patrick's day encourages and perpetuates the idea of whiteness and white culture. It otherizes non-whites and promotes nationalism. [More]I actually hope it's not a joke because of the alienation potential.

And why don't we have White History Month? Cuz we don't need to force everyone to "recognize" and be "aware" of it because we're more colorblind than other nationalities/color/etc.
