Coming Soon, to a Reichstag Near You

Germany's Cabinet on Wednesday approved a new bill that punishes social networking sites if they fail to swiftly remove illegal content such as hate speech or defamatory fake news. [More]
And seeing as how and by whom those smears are determined and leveled, they can basically shut down the dissemination of all unapproved thought  -- just like the good old days.

And the domestic National Socialists call us the Nazis...

    Usually, David, you run articles I can get outraged over. This one is just another excuse for popcorn.

    Yeah, it targets conservative content… but Google and Facebook were going to do that ANYWAY. Having the descendants of generations of world-infamous despots hold their feet to the fire over it is actually a net gain for us.
