Earlier this year, according to Schmidt, the NRA approached USCCA to talk about partnering to create a program that looks a lot like what the larger group is now marketing as Carry Guard. It's not uncommon to have more raw "intel" than is disclosed in a story due to different levels of corroboration for different elements. Sounds very similar to what Zillow did in the real estate digital world....stealing trade secrets and "investigating" potential acquisitions only then to balk and voila "we made a thing" that competes with company Xyz
