David, when did "migrant" replace "immigrant" in the modern lexicon? I always thought migrants were people who migrated - like birds or monarch butterflies. Immigrants were people who pulled up stakes and traveled to a new land to settle there. I have looked up "migrant" and "immigrant" and didn't get the same sense of difference. Am I remembering wrong or has the language shifted?
