Why shouldn't we view the banana brouhaha as another fake hate crime?

    Remember when Lester Maddox’s lunch counter was a “sanctuary” for whites? Outrage!

    When certain country clubs were “sanctuaries” for men? Outrage!

    Our broken society has come a complete half circle: from Jim Crow then to Jim Swan now.
