We're the Only Ones Married to Our Jobs Enough

The female off-duty police officer who investigators said shot her husband in the couple's driveway will not be charged -- but her husband is in trouble. [More]
I sure am glad we've got well-adjusted professionals like Ozzie and Harriet here making sure dirt people like me don't have guns where and when and of the type we're not allowed.

  1. I know you're a cop-hater, but what's the angle here? The husband isn't an officer; the officer wife defended herself against a domestic batterer. How is that an "only ones" situation? There's no evidence that she was treated any differently than any wife who shoots her husband while he's beating her.

  2. Well, thank you, Harriet. Because if anybody else had busted a cap in this deserving thug’s face for similar behavior, you know who would have gotten the jail time and who would have gotten the paid vacation.

If you think this is about "hating cops," you haven't been paying attention.

  4. If she's been putting up with this since 2015, she's too stupid to go armed.

  5. And per a report on Philly.com "David Perez then took his gun, and while the two struggled over it, he pointed it at himself and tried to put his wife's finger on the trigger. 'Go ahead, shoot me, take me out of my misery, pull the trigger,' he is quoted as saying in the affidavit."

He had every advantage then if he really wanted to kill her. So no, I don't believe a mundanette would be afforded the same belief in her version of events and given the same pass on charges.
