Mystery to Me

Hodgkinson had a piece of paper with the names of six members of Congress written on it, Slater said, but the note lacked any further context and there was no evidence from his computer, phone or other belongings that indicated he planned to target those officials. Slater declined to name the officials whose names were on the note or say whether they were Republicans or Democrats or were at the baseball practice. [More]
Since he reportedly asked if they were Democrats or Republicans, does it matter? I'd think the fact that he wanted to kill anyone not "progressive" like him is even more chilling, because he was hardly alone in that sentiment, with plenty of encouragement.

Case in point (and it received kind mentions in the media at the time):
Killing Republicans ... Funded in part by NYC Department of Cultural Affairs.

  1. He "had no target in mind", but shot four people?

  2. Look, David, this is BS. Just shows how corrupt the FBI has become.

Trump need to fire everyone within the FBI who is unpatriotic.

The gunman who attacked congressional Republicans at a baseball field in Alexandria had in his possession a list naming six Republican congressmen including Rep. Morgan Griffith.

“That list could have been something different, but I don’t think it was intended to be a good thing,” said Griffith, R-Salem, who said all the congressmen listed were Republicans.

FBI investigators have not released the names on the list, but Griffith said law enforcement informed him of his connection to the case Thursday — ***the day after the June 14 shooting.***
