A new poll shows Kelli Ward, the conservative Pro-Trump challenger surging against Senator Jeff Flake. [More]Will Trump repeat the same mistake?
Will Arizona gun owners, influenced by an NRA that is deliberately indifferent to what Flake is enabling?

David,
ReplyDeleteThank you for this!
As you know, I know a great deal about our former mayor, and he is no friend.
If Jeff wants to make friends with a Marxist, then he becomes one too.
I’m a little confused at this point about Ward’s options. What’s going to happen first — replacing Flake, or replacing McCain? Clearly we need to have two understudies in the wings, not just one. And JD Hayworth just won’t do.
ReplyDeleteWard tried to replace McCain in an election, and came close, so perhaps she could be successful in a special election, when he does us the honor of bowing out (although he will probably _not_ do the right thing, and will remain in office until he dies, just like his socialist buddies across the aisle).
ReplyDeleteBUT - it would be so much better for her to replace Flake and THEN run in whatever special election there is to replace McCain. Two sh*tbirds with one stone.
Also, people (the members) just haven't been paying attention to the NRA. They don't give a damn except for the money they get from members and the thrill they get from hob-nobbing with the "players" in D.C., making _them_ players, too.
ReplyDeleteThe NRA has helped write _every_ major piece of gun control legislation since the NFA in '34, including the GCA in '68, and the Lautenberg Amendment, as well as many lesser pieces of legislation as well. If you doubt this, find a copy of the August 1968 American Rifleman, where the NRA _brags_ about how they proved they were being reasonable, and willing to compromise, and show the world that they were better because they played a major part in "reasonable" gun control.
They have been compromising our rights away for many years now, and continue to pay themselves exorbitant salaries and perks with the dues and donations of their members. I was a member for over twenty years until they kept quiet about the Lautenberg Amendment, and we members only found out after it had been passed into law.
The NRA doesn't care. They have their own range in the basement of the NRA building you and I paid for with our dues and donations, and they have an wonderful gun museum where we can go to look at all of the beautiful firearms we _used_ to be able to own - and sometimes carry, depending on what state we lived in, when Trump gets replaced by the next Democrat President - probably an actual card-carrying muslim. The "wins", the pro-gun changes that have occurred are thanks to SAF and Alan Gura (which the NRA has falsely taken credit for), and to the GOA, which _doesn't_ compromise our rights away.
Dump the NRA, and join the GOA. I'm a Life Member, and glad to be one.
