I used to handle guard dogs (some of the meanest, too) for a Santa Ana cop who, it turned out, was illegally moonlighting on the side. The first thing we learned is that if one went to bite, you did what is counter intuitive - you shoved a fist down his throat. Causes the dog all kinds of surprise, and closes off the windpipe. That dog would've been choking and backing off real quick if that'd been me, but then there's the problem of the IDIOT with a badge and a gun (and sorely lacking in proper training) to deal with. -MM
They need to be fired and sued, no excuse the guy was no threat
