A Missouri Highway Patrol trooper will spend 10 days in jail for his role in the drowning death of a handcuffed Iowa man. In addition to the “shock time” in the Morgan County jail, Judge Roger Prokes sentenced Trooper Anthony Piercy to two years of supervised probation and ordered him to complete 50 hours of community service. Piercy will serve time in jail in five, two-day increments with his first stint scheduled to begin Friday. [More]Dang, that means unless they have a TV with ESPNU there, he'll miss Mizzou vs. Auburn on Saturday...

“executives from Bates’ record company asked the judge to allow Bates to remain free, promising that they would make sure he would not get into trouble again."
ReplyDeleteSo when is their arraignment?
Woops, posted the above on wrong article. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteTwo day stints. I wonder if that means show up at 6pm on Friday night and get out at noon on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteCan't have the snowflake in jail long enough he has to eat jail food. It would be covered with spit and snot by the time it got to his cell.
We had a deputy sentenced to a year in jail for shooting himself in an attempted insurance fraud scheme. He got shock probation after a week because the other crooks added a little spice to his meals every night.
