So It's Not About Stopping 'Gun Violence' or Even About 'Commonsense Gun Safety'?

Feinstein: No law would have stopped Las Vegas gunman [More]
Some of us already knew that.

Nor, based on real-world results, would any combination of "laws" and bans.

So since even Feinstein admits what she's proposing as a response will have no effect on future attacks, what's her long term motive for wanting to make even more citizens die in the short term?

Anyone...? Bueller...?
