That way, when you find out you're dealing with someone who is dangerous or otherwise undesirable, backing out can result in your financial ruin from a discrimination lawsuit.

Funny-- how come they insist on knowing up front about criminal background check results in order for a citizen to exercise a right?  Seems you could use the same "logic" about disproportionately-affected minorities...
