Pretty pathetic and discouraging to see these guys buying into and promoting the "botched gun sting" line of BS.
Sensenbrenner ATF Elimination Bill Sounds Good But Misses Point
Note the bill won’t eliminate functions being performed; it will merely transfer them to bureaucrats and agents in a better position to fend off scrutiny. And while more fiscal responsibility is a worthy goal, in the case of enforcing federal gun edicts, that Republican majority established largely through gun owner support ought to be focusing on the constitutionality of infringements. A Numbers Game
Our Bad -- But Your Problem
DOJ inadvertently disclosed the name, date of birth, and California Driver’s License and/or Identification Card numbers of potentially every single DOJ certified Firearm Safety Instructor in California to an unknown requestor. DOJ allegedly discovered the breach on October 27—well over two months ago—but is just now notifying individuals. As if this wasn’t already cause for concern, in the recently submitted “assault weapon” regulations DOJ is attempting to include a “non-liability” clause. This clause requires all individuals who voluntarily register their firearms as “assault weapons” to hold DOJ harmless for any liability for hardware, software, information, or other issues associated with the registration process.
