Bringing It on Themselves

Despite Arrests, Americans Continue to Visit North Korea [More]
I feel more sympathy for lunatics who jumps in lion enclosures.

Sometimes, "victims" DO ask for it.

Do You Have Pee Privilege?

For anyone enduring insane harassment like this, I'd say "No." [More]

Do you ever get the feeling their beef is with God?

We're the Only Ones Married to Our Jobs Enough

The female off-duty police officer who investigators said shot her husband in the couple's driveway will not be charged -- but her husband is in trouble. [More]
I sure am glad we've got well-adjusted professionals like Ozzie and Harriet here making sure dirt people like me don't have guns where and when and of the type we're not allowed.

His Main Concern

"He's very remorseful," Johnson said. "He's really concerned about the gentleman that was injured.  He sends his wishes to him and his apologies as well. That's his main focus, to make sure he's okay." [More]
That's lawyerspeak for his main concern is that his name will come out, he'll be charged with a crime and sued civilly, and his days as a paid instructor will be over. All of which would be appropriate. That was really unforgiveably boneheaded.

Who does he think he is, an "Only One"?

Final Say

“Like it or not,” Gottlieb observed, “the Courts have the final say whether you have gun rights or not." [More]
No, you and I have the final say.

But that attitude doesn't surprise me from someone who disparaged "I will not comply," refused to admit the impact of "immigration" and a "pathway to citizenship" on that "single issue," endorsed Bloomberg immigration collaborator Grover Norquist, and based that "full vetting" on a statement Gorsuch made about not infringing "lightly."

I've gotta go with Fletcher on this one.

Armed American Radio Redux

If you missed my conversation with Mark Walters Sunday night and want to hear it, the program is now archived.  I was on in Hour Three. [Listen]

Taking It On the Manchin

Clips of Manchin’s tough talking campaign videos where he says he will take on the Obama White House are contrasted with him chuckling about losing his “A” rating with the National Rifle Association and his close relationship with Michael Bloomberg. [More]
I'll have to look into this Jenkins feller and see if he looks like he really means it. Back in a sec...

OK, "A" from GOA.That's good.

WTF is this?

And what happened to the GOA promise to score "immigration"?

I need to see some improvement and/or a credible explanation on why Numbers is wrong here.

Defying Conventional 'Wisdom'

More guns are being sold than ever, but it's not making the country more dangerous. In fact, just the opposite. [More]
So it's not "the guns"?

What You Mean 'We'?

WE COULD HAVE BEEN CANADA - Was the American Revolution such a good idea? [More]
Nothing's stopping YOU, Gopnik. I'm sure the press restrictions there won't impact a good little tyrannophile like you one bit.

This is what I've come to expect from the self-styled "intellectuals" at The New Yorker.

A Work in Progress

On May 20th, in the small town of Canon City, CO at the Core Knowledge Center, we will be holding the screening. The Royal Gorge Tea Party will be sponsoring the event. The other purpose for holding a “works in progress” screening is that it gives us an opportunity to hear from the public on what worked and what didn’t. [More]
Looks like we need to pick up on the fundraising if they're going to be able to afford that limo to take me to the red carpet...

The Thing That Would Not Leave

Jessica Chastain relays powerful and devastating story as a strong argument for gun control [More]
"Exclusive"? Really?

Nothing like digging up yesterday's failures for propaganda today, eh, "Authorized Journalist" Rebecca Lewis?

Hopefully, Jessica will realize she's out of her depth and get back to that which she's good at.

Provided Your Assailant is Stupid

As anyone who would hold a gun on someone this way must be...

Back when I was young and immortal and taking all kinds of martial arts training, I could even get out of the way and strike a simulated blow with a "gun"  pressed in my back before it could be fired.  But fortunately, the gun wasn't real and the "assailant" was under instruction not to fire until I made the first move. Stress level and negative repercussions for failure were "zero."

It's not really that hard to understand -- it's why we leave car lengths between ours and the vehicle ahead based on speed. It takes an instant to realize and react, so the first move has the advantage.

I bring this up because there are some who watch an internet video or take a basic class and make the idiotic assumption they're ready to rumble. It's not like that, and as I've noted before, all other things considered, the most important element is will.

Presidential Medal of Freedom Recipients [More]
I already had my say.

Almost as impressive as The Chelsea...

'Pro-Gun' Hillary Voters?

I've been asked to check out a Facebook page [NSFW title].

I'm no prude but just don't see the need to use the"f" word in public posts, at least not gratuitously, because Grandmas and kids.

It doesn't help that their main graphic relies on a fake Jefferson quote, long a pet peeve of mine.

If they truly are "liberals," they need to address the same disconnects as the earlier "Amendment II Democrats." And explain, with proofs that can be validated, how culturally-terraforming "immigration" policies with a "pathway to citizenship" and "birthright citizenship" WILL NOT result in supermajorities in state and federal legislatures that will be able to pass all kinds of anti-gun edicts, and WILL NOT result in nominations and confirmations of judges to the Supreme and federal courts who will uphold those edicts, and reverse gains made to date.

Sounds Like the Set-Up for a Joke

...four Germans, a Swede, and two Latin Americans... [More]
...walk into a bar...?

Aside from the obvious differences with the Berlin wall, which make this Rindt character no better than a transparent subversive liar, the next obvious question is why aren't they protesting Mexico's "xenophobic" and "racist" immigration laws, which are much more draconian than ours?

Besides, we've already had a border concert:

The Undiscover'd Country

A man was found dead of a possibly-self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head Monday morning on a street corner in Fuquay-Varina, according to statements from the town’s police and a town spokeswoman. Police said they’d been told the Robert Eugene Owens, 46, of Fuquay-Varina, might have inflicted the injury on himself, but stopped short of saying that was definitely the case. [More]
Here's the statement from Bearing Arms.

Now is the time to process internally. I may have more to say later, but then again, I'm pretty sure I'm not thinking anything all of you haven't thought of.

A GoFundMe account has been set up for the family.
