We're the Only Ones Accidental Enough

While the shooting did involve a police officer it is not being considered an Officer Involved Shooting. Police tell us that is because the gun went off accidentally. [More]
I wonder what it woud be considered if you or I had done it.

    Police say the officer was moving barriers when his rifle discharged one round into the ground.

    How do you even DO that?
    Were you carrying a rifle in your hand while trying to carry barriers around?
