There's a difference between robbery and burglary, and I'm not aware of any authority on DGUs or on the law who advocates shooting tires, or even shooting at all unless being threatened. [More]

The hapless idiot McQueen brothers notwithstanding, I'm suprised charges haven't been filed against the homeowner.

    Cutting the tires would have been a better idea. He had a gun, so if they attacked him he would have been able to defend himself and justified in shooting. _revjen45
