CA Law & YouTube Policy Ensured Law-Abiding Employees are Unarmed

“We are committed to a violence-free work environment, and we will not tolerate any level of violence or the threat of violence in the workplace. Under no circumstances should anyone bring a weapon to work. If you become aware of a violation of this policy, you should report it to Human Resources immediately. In case of potential violence, contact Google Security.” [More]
Of course that "committment" means we can't stop any of it but we will do our part to make sure you can't either.

  2. "we will not tolerate any level of violence or the threat of violence in the workplace". So what are you going to do now, hold your breath until you turn blue?

  3. A Persian, vegan, animal rights, body builder from southern California who was upset that YouTube was demonetizing her videos and cutting into her income. Religion wise, she was apparently Baha'i.

  4. Government is not about making you safe. Making you safe is like "bending the spoon". Safety is impossible to achieve. Government is about making you feel safe. The goal is to control the herd, not to protect it.

Besides, as Heinlein said: “At least once every human should have to run for his life, to teach him that milk does not come from supermarkets, that safety does not come from policemen, that 'news' is not something that happens to other people. He might learn how his ancestors lived and that he himself is no different--in the crunch his life depends on his agility, alertness, and personal resourcefulness.”
