Another group recently urged members to write on another issue because Democrats were unfairly “forcing a vote while Senator John McCain is medically absent.” I got to send my letter of complaint to… John McCain. (Also, lame duck Jeff Flake.)
You plays the hand you’re dealt. Remember, even though writing to a D isn’t going to change his vote, it can always aggravate his ulcer. Then maybe *we* can push something through while *he’s* on medical leave.
