Shreveport cop accidentally fires gun while teaching gun safety to interns [More]What did we learn, interns?
"The gun went off" and "it fired." Very good.
I guess that the difference between seasoned professionals and mere amateurs like myself, who have never been able to match that level of performance no matter how many times we've shown new people what to do.

Statistically, most of the accidental discharges are Glocks. I don't like any gun that for field cleaning requires pulling the trigger. Had a cop friend, twenty years on the force, shot himself in the hand separating the slide from the frame. Any time I can start an argument between Glock lovers and good shooters, you know I will!

Obviously he was not "the only one professional enough to handle a Glock 40".
ReplyDeleteMy neighbor, a retired Sheriff's Deputy managed to shoot his index finger off with a Glock. Says it fired as the slide went into battery. I forgot to ask why his finger was in front of where the bullets come out.
