All in How You Phrase It

Portland Police declared a riot Saturday after tensions between the right-wing Patriot Prayer group and local anti-fascist activists came to a head and broke out in violence. [More]
"Tensions broke out" is a curious way to describe criminal thugs attacking Americans whose views they want shut down by force. And just because they call themselves "anti-facist activists" makes it no more true than if pederasts described themselves as "child education specialists."

It's almost like The Oregonian has favorites.
