Since he sees fit to define our rights, I'd say he sees himself in an even more powerful position.

  1. You say:

"Since he sees fit to define our rights, I'd say he sees himself in an even more powerful position."

    I say:

    Thou shalt not covet.

  2. Plato said it best: "Now the worst part of the punishment is that he who refuses to rule is liable to be ruled by one who is worse than himself."

The general background to that quote was the then prevailing sentiment that those who SOUGHT office should be suspect and shunned, and that good people should be compelled to take office by threat of punishment should they shirk that duty. Not certain about the "compelling" part, but the conclusion is dead on. Right Chucky? Right DiFi? I'm looking at YOU Nancy!

  3. Won't happen. His actions as HUD Secretary which lead to the boycott of Smith & Wesson by gun owners, and his actions in ramming the ironically named NYS SAFE Act through the legislature in just a few hours instead of the days it normally takes means he's essentially unelectable. He'd win NY, MA, CA, HI, CT, RI, NJ, and that's about it.

Be nice if he does run: We should be so lucky to have an opponent as easily defeated as he is.
