Pay Your Money and Take Your Choice

“Nobody is being forced to get rid of a gun,” he said. “People are willingly giving them up, wanting them to be destroyed. It’s completely, 100 percent voluntary.” [More]
Finally, some common ground we can agree on!

He and those "dozens" of fellow useful idiots should be able to do whatever they like with their property as long as it doesn't victimize someone else.

Can the rest of us agreeing to those conditions also get that "100 percent voluntary" guarantee?

  1. poor bastard got shot at and is suddenly a convert to gun control? that is not his story. he got shot at and survived. he has had time to think about it. he has come to a conclusion that no one would need a gun if everyone on earth was just a nice guy like he is. that's his story in a nutshell.
he still has a gun with him. why? habit? desire? only he knows.
on occasion, i have considered what has happened to the weapons i have sold after there usefulness to me had ended. I have successfully traced each one. I know who bought them. I know where they are. gun control is a good thing. I control my guns while they are in my possession. I have controlled who i sold them too. that, to me, should be the total extent of gun control. allowing government to enter into the gun control equation is a very dangerous act. tyrants establish themselves first by disarming the public. after a lot of thought on my part, i have concluded that the earth is full of people who are not nice.

  2. I searched the entire article for the word “sledgehammer.” Unsurprisingly, I did not find it. Who at HuffPo would want to stop a whine-fest short?

“If only people were decent human beings.” Psychopathy (absence of normal empathy, i.e., conscience) is an incurable congenital birth defect. Past a certain age, abandoned children develop RAD, which turns them into essentially irredeemable sociopaths. And that just covers the people with purely medical (as opposed to venal) reasons for being indecent human beings.

If only I had wings, I could fly. How long do you think I should wait for that to come about?
