Leaders of the notorious Mexican Mafia "gang of gangs" were charged Wednesday with running a government-like operation to control drug trafficking from inside Los Angeles County jails that included ordering violence against those who didn't obey. [More]And if you live there an run afoul of any of their citizen disarmament edicts, guess where you'll be spending time? What would be an appropriate response to anyone trying to do that to a countryman?

Contract Management
Dicks and Not Dick's
A few people called the ABC15 Newsroom to express concerns about a sign outside a gun shop near North Myrtle Beach High School ... The caller was concerned about the message in light of the recent shooting at a high school in Texas, and also because they believe it is inappropriate given how close the store is to the school. [More]How does plural go to singular and then back to plural again?
How about some names, so they can be ruthlessly ridiculed like they deserve? And why is a bluenose malcontent or two trying to make trouble for someone they don't approve of "news"?
The one positive takeaway from this, considering our modern age of gender fluidity, is that they can be simultaneously dicks and pussies. And that includes the intrepid journalists at WPDE, "News you can wipe with!"

Document of the Day
After the murders in Sutherland Springs, Texas by the former airman, the only record you could find about his court martial was a two page summary... [More]Thanks John. Nice to see someone noticed.
Lord knows "professional media" won't.
An Explosive Climax
Henrico man charged with murder of girlfriend said she asked him to pull trigger during sexual encounter [More]I can't begin to tell you how many women I've done the same thing to when I was 33 and living at my parents' house (which is a surefire attractant for quality partners, by the way).
Speaking of which, everybody see this? It sure sounds like nobody strapped 'em on when it would have made a difference and that this is a monster of their own making.

A Lively Debate
Dr. Lively Defends 2nd Amendment in Far Left Gun Control Debate [More]Yeah, well, you're going to have to flesh out how you intend to ensure full due process protections on those "extreme risk protection orders" you say you favor, and why you think a piece of paper saying "No guns" will work.

At Sixes and Sevens
On May 21, the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee passed 6 of the 7 anti-gun bills it was considering, and “held” the 7th bill, ostensibly to allow additional time for amendments that were not ready at the hearing. [More]Designed to make it even more of an Intolerable Act, I presume?

Deal with the Devil
The president’s legal advisers have been working with California’s two Democratic senators, Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris, to vet potential nominees. [More]So we can look forward to more of this?
Speaking of which, I like how one guy accused me of "eating our own" and another of not understanding contracts...

Word for Word
A 'Progressive' Idea
Can Americans ditch guns the way we ditched cigarettes? [More]Like a typical Opposite Day "progressive," Petula's bright "new" idea is wholly unoriginal and she fails to credit the person she stole it from. (I thought WaPo has learned its lesson on that.)
As for the success of the effort, anybody have a handle on how effective those warnings have been? Or more to the point, on why smuggling (especially into "progressive" jurisdictions) still pays big bucks in spite of costs and risks?

A Sign of the Times
The opioid’s potency has transformed the global trafficking — and policing — of narcotics. [More]Mr. Adams' "wholly inadequate" observation comes to mind.
People of purpose and hope have better things to do. That "our society" produces so many unfit to live responsibly and freely makes a "readjustment" inevitable.
Why are so many without purpose and hope?
Put another way, who benefits?

Can We All Get Along?
I attempted to cordially introduce myself, but they unjustifiably responded with, “We don’t shake hands or talk with Nazi sympathizers.” I thought to myself, “What?! Who in the world do you think we are? We don’t stand for such beliefs, nor do we ‘sympathize’ with them.” [More]But you still don't get it, do you, Craig?
There can be no "middle resolution" with totalitarians unless it's you in the middle of a ditch.

Defense attorneys declined to comment, but they wrote in their motions that a neuropsychologist who evaluated Torres, 23, of Sterling, found he had significant cognitive limitations, poor memory and severely impaired judgment. He is also functionally illiterate... [More]And welcoming such people into the country helps "secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity" how, again...?

She Asked for It
The migrant, who had downloaded pornographic films from websites Cabfake.com and BogusTaxi.com just days before the attack, told police investigators the victim’s skirt was “too short”. [More]And the guy was already in the database, yet still allowed to remain not only in country, but free to assault new victims to boot? It's revealing, how an Opposite Day "progressive" system ostensibly supportive of women enables their attackers.

On the Fly
Ciccolo’s mother, Shelley MacInnes, told New England Public Radio last year that her son is ‘‘very compassionate’’ and ‘‘would not hurt a fly.’’ He converted to Islam a few years ago, MacInnes said. [More]Where have we heard that before?
Enabling mothers are responsible for much of this country's misery. Props to the dad for being strong enough to do the right and painful thing.

After All, Turnabout IS Fair Play...
Sociology prof convicted for smearing fake blood on NRA lobbyist’s home [More]I doubt the $500 fine will pay for clean-up, let alone costs to investigate, process and prosecute. And she still "plans to appeal"?
On the plus side, that TRO makes her a prohibited progressive, and we can't have too many of those.
She should watch it, because it only takes a minute or two to find out where the sentiment could be returned.

Smile When You Say That
Talk about bullying... [More]
"Progressives" with "authority" always are, which is why the cowards don't want anyone capable of fighting back and knocking them on their asses. And it's why when they run schools (and they do almost all of them) a kid defending himself gets punished along with the aggressor.

Racecard Ragestorm in 3...2...1...
"I started saying in 1985 I don’t think we should have a music talking about ni**ers and b*tches and h*es. It had no impact. I’ve said it. I’ve repeated it. I still repeat it. To me, that’s more damaging than a statue of Robert E. Lee. [More]Exactly.
And it sure does say a lot about content of character.
I just found out this lottery-winning setup fraud got a Pulitzer. Those Opposite Day "progressives" sure want everyone to think they're not racists.

Obviously prepared by someone in no danger of earning such an honor...
A Question of Priorities
Media reports have suggested that the FBI has not been able to verify any evidence to support the sonic weapon theory. [More]What? Oww...
In fairness, they've been pretty busy ignoring and covering up for mass killers, and spying on a duly-elected president...
Agreement in Principle
Left-Wing Billionaire Michael Bloomberg: Raising Taxes on Poor People Is a “good thing.” [More]I remember Bush II introducing some grinning stooge at a State of the Union speech and bragging how he would have to pay no taxes thanks to the administration's economic policies, and thinking representation without taxation (receiving benefits from those who pay them and a "right" to vote for more) produces results every bit as evil as the opposite.
If you want to go after Bloomberg for overt discrimination against "those people," there's a more obvious endorsement no one besides me seems interested in.
Taxes on "soft sugary drinks" in NYC, where the populace is determined to go to hell and attacks anyone trying to stop them, is hardly the most pressing priority. Unsurprisingly, Grover's ATR does nothing to oppose Bloomberg where it could really count.
