Authorities who searched his hotel room found more than a dozen weapons with bump stocks attached. [More]I view that buried sentence as potentially the most important one in the whole story. Note while most of the media and even some ATF flacks are parroting presumptions, The Washington Post is being careful not to say they were used in the killings.
Why?
UPDATE--So much for a 5-4 SCOTUS advantage:
Roberts denied one appeal earlier this week; Sotomayor referred hers to the full court, which denied it on Thursday, allowing the ban to proceed while challenges to it move through the courts.
Why don't any of you "gun writers" ever mention that the bump stock is NOT a weapon and therefor not subject to the protection of the 2A? This is the biggest waste of time in gun rights history. While we are kept banging away at this nothing burger the Republican party and our "dear Leader" Donald Trump, quietly move S-7 and a whole raft of other toxic gun CONFICATION laws forward with almost nothing written about it. --Ray
