NRA SAYS NEW FLORIDA LAW WOULD TAKE AWAY RIFLES FROM '10-YEAR-OLD LITTLE GIRLS' ON THEIR BIRTHDAYS [More]The headline is what matters to most, so what will stick is the Alinsky Rule 5 ridicule.
Thing is, the point they're making fun of is valid. Or it would be if Bill Ruger hadn't thrown everyone else under the bus for a government-enforced "competitive" advantage.

We're not talking about legislation here. As usual the media got their facts wrong. They're, the gun grabbers are aiming for a state constitutional amendment to be put on the ballot next election. This is being pushed by a small group on Se Floridians, some of whom had relatives shot a Parkland.
ReplyDeleteThe language in the amendment is broad, and Hammer is right, it would virtually outlaw all semi-auto long guns, handguns are exempted. Floridians are gun savvy, and we now have a true pro-gun Governor, but if they can dupe enough people into signing the petition its on the ballot. But I think legislation was passed that required that the signers of said petition be certified FL residents. GOA had a post on their site urging Gov. DeSantis to sign but that was a few months ago. He would.ve signed it.
They need 750 signatures. I learned years ago to be very skeptical of voting for any constitutional amendment.
FWIW: When Ron DeSantis ran for Congress I ask him via email, about 2A. He actually called me to tell me that he absolutely supported the Second Amendment.
