Summoning Demons

“Churches are dedicated for the worship of God and as havens from the cares and concerns of the world,” the revised policy says. “With the exception of current law enforcement officers, the carrying of lethal weapons on church property, concealed or otherwise, is prohibited.” [More]
And if someone who perceives an enhanced advantage ignores that "prohibition"...?

  1. It would be interesting how it would work in Arizona. If they post a "no firearms" sign that would also legally prohibit off duty LEO's. If they do not post a sign and just notify members, then it would not prohibit visitors from carrying.

  2. I'm thinking this comment belongs here:
Amazingly, carrying in a church IS NOT PROHIBITED in the Peoples Socialist Republic of Kommiecticut, where just about every aspect of firearms is regulated or unlawful. I went to a Sunday Service this past weekend (and it wasn't a funeral/wedding/baptism/etc. LOL!). I was seated in the back near the door, carrying my compact 9mm and a spare mag. Many of the attendees of the congregation are fellow bikers, so I can only assume there were others (including the Pastor) that were armed. Since there is no "Gun Free Death Zone" sign at the door, I am pretty sure there will never be much trouble there anyway. on The Final Solution

  3. “It is illustrative of the church’s slow evolution away from being a largely Western rural church which it has been for a long, long time toward a more cosmopolitan, international organization…”

Great. The Mormons are turning metrosectual.

As a religious group who made the mistake of surrendering their guns once previously and were nearly exterminated by their own government, you would think they ould have the sense to learn from their own history.
