  1. Before you learn to run, you need to be able to walk.

    Knowing which target to engage and in what order doesn't help much if the average Grunt doesn't have the skills needed to actually hit the target being engaged.

    A few years back some National Guard organizations were actually contacting the Appleseed Project for help in filling that gap before deployment to one or more of the various "Sandboxes."

    So, in other words, the U S Army is still trying to solve the problem they had identified as far back as the 1860's. Many of the Union Army's recruits joined up never having held a real firearm of any kind. Many of today's recruits have that same lack of experience. The army programs in place are not up to the task of reliably turning those recruits into soldiers who can reliably place hits. That lack will probably continue as long as organizations created to solve it are deemed to be the "red headed stepchildren" of modern American society. Those organizations being the NRA and the CMP.

    Appleseed preaches: Hits Count! Otherwise, you're just making noise & hoping it interferes with the OpFor's shooting.
