  1. Wal-Mart stopped selling guns in Commiefornia after the San Bernardino shooting... Most Wal-Mart shoppers won't buy guns at Wal-Mart anyway, because they can't use their EBT's...

K-Mart stopped selling guns and we know how that ended.

  3. Most of us support "common sense gun control", or at least we should. But as is often the case, the devil is in the details. When my kids were small, they had no unsupervised access to any of my guns. And this was before the legislature got their overbearing mitts into the decision. I was deciding the definition of "common sense" and applying it as I saw fit. As is often said, with rights come responsibilities. IMHO, what is needed is more emphasis on the responsibilities inherent in gun ownership, so that people understand why clearing a magazine from a firearm before squeezing the trigger is not enough. And why stashing your handgun in the oven when staying at your significant other's house is not enough.

All of us, including government, should have a role in spreading what used to be common knowledge as well as common sense.

Unfortunately, we have let our opponents seize control of the phrase "common sense" as we have let them seize control of the phrase "gun safety." Until we all do something to regain control of those phrases, and regain control of the debate, we fight a defensive war. And as Robert E. Lee knew, you can win a defensive battle but winning a defensive war is a whole 'nother thing.

Typing "Molon Labe" on a gun rights website is not going to be enough.

  4. I support common sense gun control. When you're bearing arms, you should handle them with common sense, meaning Jeff Cooper's Four Rules.
