A gun safety bill gets the green light from the St. Louis Board Of Aldermen. The measure requires gun dealers to inform police any time a potential gun buyer fails a background check. [More]Yeah, expend police resources on false positives while the black market continues unfazed. Genius!

Sssh! Nothing will make our point more strongly than having this law enforced to the letter!
ReplyDeleteSo it's OK to let the local PD know when someone fails a FEDERAL background check because local PD is going to do what about enforcing a Federal law?
ReplyDeleteThe bills sponsor says so: Reed also plans to introduce a bill tomorrow to require licensed gun dealers to report failed background checks of potential gun buyers to the St. Louis Police Department. He says this would allow officers to intervene before a potentially dangerous person gets ahold of a gun.
wonder if they are checking citizenship as well.....
