Playing Hooky

Not really. We have a local election Tuesday and I do poll working as a way to help make sure things are conducted according to the rules. As such, I will be working a long day somewhere else for a change.

I'm turning comments off on the blog and will not be responding to emails or social media messages. Do me a favor and hold off on stuff?

Hawaii Gun Group Sues FBI to Obtain State ‘Rap Back’ Data

“It was brought to Hawaii Firearms Coalition's attention during this year's legislative session that not one single firearms owner has been entered into the service. However, for more than two years, the state has been requiring firearm owners to sign a waiver (of their constitutional rights) and collecting the fees associated with the FBI Rap Back service.” [More]

The Bomb Went Off

Muhammad Walid al-Quqa, the explosives chief of Hamas, reportedly blew himself up in what commonly is referred to as a “work accident.” [More]
Anyone believe the "official" line, because I already used this joke today...?

Republicans Have Had Enough

They've had enough? [More]

It's good they're walking out. It's a shame that's the "best" option.

His privilege was electrifying.
Prof: Serial killer Ted Bundy another example of ‘white privilege’ [More]
And we know what privileged white men deserve.

"Progressive"-Approved

Seattle elites show little sympathy for a woman raped by a homeless man. [More]
Now if he'd been in the military it would be a different story.

Unfortunately, the victim has it exactly wrong if she thinks the solution to this is "stronger government leaders."

#BelieveWomenRegardless

Kirsten Gillibrand Mad That Not Every Military Sexual Assault Accusation Leads To Conviction [More]
So we should spread the word that she supports the white woman who falsely accused the "unknown black man"?

WarOnGuns has obtained exclusive footage of Gillibrand dressing down everyone not jumping on her bandwagon:

Entirely Preventable

The Bedford County Sheriff's Office said 56-year-old Mark Edwin Turner was charged with felony malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a felon. [More]
So he'd already proven he couldn't be trusted without a custodian?

It Depends Upon What the Meaning of the Term 'Very Respectable' Is

Two recent reports that tease out the demographics of the Hispanic vote show that the GOP needn’t Hispander on immigration to keep the very respectable 29 percent the party won in 2018. [More]
True, people of integrity should never pander. But any way you look at it, 70/30 is still a gun-grabbing Democrat landslide, and the numbers haven't gotten better after decades of "assimilation."

Until national and state "gun groups" stop with the phony "single issue" excuse for deliberate indifference, their refusal to grade ostensible "pro-gun" politicians on "immigration" supports the longterm evisceration of the Second Amendment.

New Hampshire Alert

Tuesday 5/7, Critical hearing on gun confiscation [More]
The first three names on the email list are Democrats, the same traitors behind this and scheduling it so their support can show up while opponents are caught flat-footed. I don't have time to check if they're in "safe" districts," which will be an indicator of whether or not it's worth time to email them.

The best response will be to show up in person, and it looks like the majority of the population lives within 40 miles of Concord. My guess is the room will be full of photo op Mom's shirts.

They Picked a Fine Time

FICRA would update the law so FFLs could sell long guns or handgun to customers from out of state. It would also permit FFLs to sell firearms at gun shows outside the state where their licensed premises are located. [More]
Is it a pity that such a bill wasn't introduced when Republicans controlled the House, Senate, and Presidency, or just part of the plan?

Let's Finish the War They Started

In coordination with this Facebook and every other big tech firm which fails to live up to this new standard should have its legal immunity under Section 230 of the Communications Act stripped. Facebook no longer acts as a platform. It acts as a publisher. If Facebook wants to be a publisher, it can be a publisher. Which would mean that Facebook would be personally and legally liable for everything posted on their website. Facebook is clearly putting themselves on one side of the political debate. They're entitled to do that as a private company, but if they do want to do that, then they need to be regulated as a political actor. If you ban a bunch of people for partisan reasons in the midst of a presidential campaign season that is election meddling. [More]
I don't know if I'd call this a "bill of rights" so much as a proper withholding of elitist exemptions for de facto "in-kind" contributions.

Another approach in tandem with this could be suing for libel. If someone is banned, that is a reputation-damaging accusation that what they have to say is false or hateful, and that results in devastating economic ostracism. I don't imagine it would take that many lawsuits to convince corporate risk managers that a ban had better have bulletproof substantiation.

Case in "poynt"...

There Oughta Be a Law

Donna’s Law would require State Police to set up a registration process for anyone who wants to put themselves on a do-not-sell list in Louisiana. You could take yourself off the list after a 21-day waiting period, which is in place to prevent people from acting rashly. [More]
Brilliant! And we need another list for people who think they may commit violent crimes to do the same!

They Blow Up So Fast These Days

Youngsters at the Muslim American Society Islamic Center in North Philadelphia are shown in video footage speaking in Arabic during a celebration of “Ummah Day,” said the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), a Middle East monitoring organization. One girl says "we will chop off their heads” to “liberate the sorrowful and exalted Al-Aqsa Mosque” in Jerusalem, according to the MEMRI. [More]
But that's OK-- they're "investigating" themselves and the guy who got caught has been "dismissed."  Not deported though...

Incurable

Opposite Day 'Progressive' Legal Ethics

In Ethics Seminar, Lawyers Say They’d Report A Client For Legally Owning A Gun [More]
Which lawyers? Potential gun-owing clients have a right to know.  Plus they have no business practicing law and deserve to have bar complaints filed against them.

Outing them would be the ethical thing to do.
