THE DNC WANTS TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE HEARD AT THE DEBATE - Please take a moment to let us know what question you would like to see answered on the debate stage. [More]
How many men like me are you willing to kill to achieve your mad goal of citizen disarmament?
Meatspace demands have unexpectedly made themselves known. Back when I can. Comments will be looked at when I can get to them. No guarantees I'll be able to get to news tips.
This economist debunked all the right-wing talking points about the Green New Deal [More]
Just because Salon says he did? Because when you ask specifically "How are we going to pay for a Green New Deal?" and get back that asking who is going to pay for it is "a tertiary question," what I'm seeing are weasel words and mealy-mouthed double-talk.
So when the response to that is "That makes sense," forgive me if I start to smell a shill helping with the swindle.
“The family of Bill Landske knew that he was dangerous, they knew he was demented and untethered, and they knew he was prone to outbursts of rage-filled profanity,” attorney Ken Allen said. [More]
So the default choice will be to become a desperate snitch at the first hint of liability? Tell all those manipulated Americans who say they support "red flag laws" that it will be their turn in the barrel once precedent is set.
A white psychology professor at Western Connecticut State University penned a new op-ed that wished for the “demise” of the white race in favor of “people who would be better stewards of the earth.” [More]
A specially trained drug-sniffing dog was alerted to the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, and a preliminary test done by the police officers further tested positive for a controlled dangerous substance. [More]
Does that mean the dog responded to a hand signal and the JBTs figured they'd rather see the lie through than admit they ... uh...screwed something other than the pooch?
Garza can spend the money however she wants. She uses $150 of it to pay for her cellphone and another $100 or so to pay off her dog’s veterinarian bills. She spends the rest on her two grandsons now that she can afford to buy them birthday presents online and let them get the big bag of chips at the 7-Eleven. [More]
It's not just a question of subsidizing the parasites at a subsistence level. While this "experimental" program is being funded by a nonprofit, "universal basic income" is already a reality with government-provided "entitlements," where the productive are forced at gunpoint to provide the immoral and lazy with a life of ease and plenty. The story says Garza is unemployed -- where's she getting the rest of her "income" from?
I could just sing:
“I think poverty is immoral, I think it is antiquated and I think it shouldn’t exist,” said Michael Tubbs, the city’s 29-year-old Democratic mayor.
Poverty is not immoral. But those with demands on the property of others who claim the mantle of "poor" sure are.
Besides, Garza is hardly an example of poverty. A lifetime of wrong choices, yes. But truly poor people don't have cellphone and vet bills. And compare the price for a five-Lb.bag of rice compared to the same amount of 7-Eleven potato large chips. Such people don't know how to be poor.
And then such people vote to claim more of what is not theirs. No nation can endure and sustain such a burden forever.
"I told Officer Sanchez not to shoot twice, I even said please," Paola French said. "I was pleading for our son and our lives. I was still shot in the back. What threat did I pose to him?" [More]
60% of illegal firearms recovered in Chicago come from outside IL—mostly from states dominated by coward Republicans like you who refuse to enact commonsense gun legislation. [More]
I was reading comments at The Hill 's story on NRA's statement about Walmart's changes on guns and ammo, and saw a persistent defender of the profitability of Dick's Sporting Goods' anti-gun stance:
The guy's got up-votes. Out of everyone who reads his comments, how many do you think will just let them register and move on, as opposed to checking things out over the last five years?
"Thriving"?
Yeah, 2019 first-quarter earnings did better than expected, but ultimately, the value of a company lies in its stock and in investor confidence, and the past five years tell a story of their own.
My bottom line: If you're a gun owner and you still shop at Dick's, you're rewarding rope-selling capitalists offering you to the mob.
