Where Will We Go for Our Lies?

The same week that The Weekly Standard’s troubles broke, Vanity Fair dropped a bombshell report about the struggles faced by those hip, millennial-targeted left-wing rags with the cool names and rabidly anti-Trump headlines strewn across your social media feed. Vice, Vox, Mic, Buzzfeed, Mashable — they’re all either looking for buyers or seriously reevaluating their strategies in hopes of becoming profitable. Mic laid off most of its workers. Vice and Vox are firing staff left and right. [More]

No Matter How You Slice It

Pizzagate... [More]
No worries -- VOX (that "progressive" voice we've come to trust so), tells us it's just another totally false conspiracy theory, that is, "fake news" being promulgated by white supremacists, that is, by Trump supporters, with a dose of "Russian hacking" for good measure.  That way, when the terrm appears in P3M, it will be to deny, dismiss and ridicule, plus it gives the colluders all the excuse they need to keep it buried.

I won't be surprised to find some of the stories are ridiculous fakes. But I also won't just assume those behind them are what they want the world to think they are.

Where we "extremists" need to be extremely careful is in deriving "guilty" convictions without the requisite proofs. Unfortunately, ginning up angry mobs based on mere accusations seems to be the way of the virtual world.

Thing Along with Mitch

I was under the weather this weekend and did not post--many of you sent me the story about the idiot subversive judge who said you cannot resist unlawful entry by police, and my first reaction was to see who was primarily responsible for elevating that wretched fraud to a position of power.

Turns out it was Mitch Daniels who foisted this judicial thing on us, and who offered this as his reason why:
The governor said that from Judge David, he heard “the clearest expression of commitment to proper restraint in jurisprudence and deep respect for the boundaries of judicial decision-making. He will be a judge who interprets, rather than invents our laws.”
I'd hate to see who came in second.

Daniels has been OK on some RKBA stuff, but he's one of those "enforce existing gun laws" types rather than someone who actually understands the issue.

Vox Day has more, including:
And Daniels has thus far remained silent on the issue, when anything short of an abject apology for David's appointment combined with a demand for David's immediate resignation, and the resignation of the other two judges who sided with David, is absolutely necessary for him to remain a credible governor, let alone a president.

Damn Bill of Rights!

It took one mass shooting for New Zealand to ban assault weapons - The US’s unique politics and political system make it much harder for America to take similarly swift action. [More]

By 'Bolder Agenda' He Means Bans and Confiscations

I’ve argued that repealing, or at least reinterpreting, the Second Amendment should be part of a bolder progressive agenda on guns... [More]
What can I say besides "Vox"?

Not that illegitimate repeal would delegitimize the right.

That's the whole point of insisting on this.

A Coordinated Effort

Aid and Comfort

Thanks to Lois Beckett, Alex Yablon, and especially Massad Ayoob for their help researching and fact-checking this piece.  [More]
Beckett and Yablon, especially, I can understand.

I'm still trying to figure out why someone from "our side" would want to help Vox when he's got to know they will use it to attack RKBA. It is an interesting admission on where they have to go and who they have to ask to keep from making fools of themselves, but I still gotta ask what happened to "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake"?

I never understood "fact-checking" proposed infringements, either. I'd want them vulnerable to challenge, rather than helping the oppressor make them bulletproof.  Case in point, thank goodness no one helpfully pointed out the fatal flaw in Nevada's Question 1.

Excuse me, but you won't shoot me that way, with the safety on.

"Oh, you're right. Thanks."
