If there's to be compromise, there's no need for an NRA at all.
Some years ago, we had a strong grass roots effort to pass "no permit" carry, open or concealed, in South Carolina. The NRA rep, one of their paid lawyers, came in and completely scuttled our effort. He needed a hard beat down.
Keep in mind that some of us became Life Members in the days of Harlon Carter, Neal Knox, and Tanya Metaksa. The NRA was a somewhat different organization in those days.
Northam is evil.
ReplyDeleteNo compromise with evil doers.
Two things I, speaking as an Endowment Life member, need from MY NRA:
ReplyDelete1. Review "Cake and Compromise -- the Illustrated History of Gun Control"
then
2. come back and tell us which part of the cake the founders baked for us you're prepared to compromise away from us this time.
