At Least They Got the 'Tyrannis' Part Right

If this measure becomes a law, it would be a Class 6 felony starting July 1. 1. Among the oddities and absurdities of this bill is the banning of rifles and pistols with "fixed" magazines holding more than 12 rounds. Honestly, I find it difficult to think of any examples. Even the M1 Garand holds only eight. Arizona has a bill pending with similar language, but the limit is only 10. The bills are so similarly worded that I detect the hand of Mini-Mike Bloomturd.

  2. It occurred to me that the "fixed" magazine language might be there to forestall a workaround in which a detachable mag is pinned to a frame and loaded with stripper clips. This would obviously require a firearm that can be loaded from above with the action locked open, eg., not an AR or AK. Or maybe I am just giving too much credit for foresight to the Bloomturd crowd, and it is really due to their ignorance of firearms technology.

  3. Agreed, this is most likely "canned" language provided to Democrats who have no idea what it really says.. only that they get "support" from those proposing and providing it to them. In AZ this legislative session, there are many "bad bills" that we are fighting to kill
