  1. On the one hand, she was (until recently) the Chief of Police in Portland, Oregon. The same Portland where "Antifa" reigns supreme, with the blessing of the mayor and city commissioners, and the police do nothing to curb the street violence and lawlessness.

On the other hand, my better half reminds me that she is a police officer to her core, and was extremely frustrated by the mayor's and commission's hamstringing the Portland Police Bureau, barring officers from taking action against Antifa's violent assaults on citizens and businesses.

And on the shooting hand, she had every legal right and authority to tell the mayor and commissioners to shove it up their collective(ist) @$$es and enforce the Supreme Law of the Land, but didn't. Yes, she probably would have lost her position, but it would have shown she takes her oath - to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic - seriously. Instead, she sought greener pastures, apparently in Philadelphia.

Time will tell what kind of person she really is, but I suspect she won't be noticeably from what we saw in Portland.
