Perhaps the petition should instead demand the redrawing of the New York - Vermont state line further to the south and west? Buffalo, Vermont, Saratoga, Vermont and West Point, Vermont have a nice ring to them.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Vermont
