I'd love to see them express their opinions over there, but I'm not sure that wouldn't be encouraged as useful.

The wife and I watched The Spy Who Came in from the Cold yesterday -- she'd never seen it and it had been decades since I had (and I was a teenager when I read the novel). Without trying to give away too much of a spoiler for those of you who haven't, the fate of Claire Bloom's naive, communist-supporting Brit character struck me as fitting and as something that happens as a matter of course when idiots are no longer useful.

  1. watch the movie "The Chekist." Very eye opening and brutal. i wish all of our socialist friends could see it (if they could even understand the history behind it.)

I DVR'ed "The Spy Who Came In From the Cold" awhile back, partly because I had never seen it, and partly because I do like Richard Burton's acting. I thought the movie was pretty darn good, well done, a bit slow, but right on point about Communism. The ending tell us all we need to know.
