Building on our success in convincing Wake County to add firearm-related businesses to its list of "essential services" to avoid litigation and a court order for Wake County Sheriff Gerald Baker to resume issuing pistol purchase permits, GRNC and GOA today sent a letter to the Durham Mayor Steve Schewel and the Durham City Council advising them of their non-compliance with federal recommendations for critical infrastructure. Yep:

This list is advisory in nature. It is not, nor should it be considered, a federal directiveor standard. 

It's either critical or it's not. Once more the administration opts for toothless pandering that somehow has resulted in high fives.

What other civil rights could be ignored by state and local governments without an army of feds coming down to frog march offenders?  Kudos to the groups that persist and soldier on in spite of that.
