Who Was That Masked Man?

This looks interesting. Anyone know any reason why it won't work? [Watch]

It certainly seems a lot less labor-intensive than the other DIY alternatives I've seen.

Just don't wear one in Virginia. Northam's pretty strict about the mask styles he approves.

Construction of a mask is only one problem. Followon problems include reliable methods of sterilization for reusability (sunshine and UV CPAP sterilizers are both recommendations), learning proper donning/doffing technique to prevent virus from contaminating the backside, and snug side fit. There are no easy shortcuts.

I am of the opinion that even an imperfect mask is better than nothing, provided that it makes nothing else worse. To this end, resist letting the “security” of a homemade mask tempt you into going places or doing things you would not do if you had no mask… a principle that people who carry should have already adopted.
