    San Jose police Chief Eddie Garcia released a statement saying he has spoken to Sanderlin about what happened... “I assured him we will be investigating this incident.”

    Yeah, Eddie, that is SO last month. Didn't you get the memo? That boilerplate s*t isn't going to fly anymore.
