Exactly. Thats why the language coming from our side should not be #FillTheSeat. That should be a given and a starting point. We should be saying Hell yeah, fill the seat. And #PackTheCourt. If they are already talking about doing it, then lets go ahead and put 100 new justices up there.
Apparently, there's a common, yet obviously false, assumption held by many Democrats, that they can pull whatever underhanded tricks they want to, set any precedent they need at the moment, ditch any long established rule of the game that's inconvenient. Why? because once they gain power they will never lose it and be held accountable for their tricks, or have them used against them by Republicans. Its been proven repeatedly that such an assumption will bite them on the behinds. Yet they persist in their foolishness.
It isn't "rocket surgery" to imagine down that "pack the court to get the results you want" road is a Supreme Court bigger than Congress and deserving and getting even less respect.
How do the Democrats figure that will work out?
On the way up US 27 a few days ago in the Sebring, FL area we saw a billboard with the message:
