Technical Difficulties

PC crapped out on me this afternoon -- it's relatively new and still under warranty, so I had tech support doing remote surgery for the past few hours. They don't have it licked yet and will need to resume tomorrow.

Bottom line, sorry, I will not be able to get to literally dozens of news tips still in my inbox and probably won't even be able to get to them tomorrow -- anything more than a new article announcement and promos for two radio shows I'm going to be on probably won't happen.

So please:

  1. Understand if I can't consider your contribution.
  2. Don't send any more 'til Monday.

Mask Required

I remember this from when I was little -- I had this exact mask:

Yea, it was stupid, but it kept me out of Mom's hair for a bit while I spent time cutting it out and then playing with it until I quickly got bored.

So, what are you going to be this Halloween?

Get one for yourself while supplies last!

Speaking of 'the Intractability of Our Constitution'...

One can only hope if their subversion succeeds that such useful idiot ivory tower provincials will experience firsthand the intractability of rule not bound by checks, balances and restraints that they share culpability for enabling. [More]

Who Will Pay the Guards?

Trump spokesperson says armed men outside Florida early voting location were not hired by campaign [More]

That should be easy enough to prove.

Meanwhile, the allegation is what most of the public will remember.

We're the Only Ones Clinical Enough

A “cops and clinicians” program with Behavioral Health Response has been approved by the city of St. Louis. The $740,000 program is aimed at connecting people calling 911 with the services they need. [More]

It doesn't already do that?

As the observation goes, at least drunken sailors are spending their own money.

No One Accused Them of Being Bright

So this person thought it would be cute to steal Trump signs from people’s yards. That‘s a crime.  Too bad we screen recorded it just before she locked down her account. [More]

Has this been turned into the authorities in the spirit of "If you see something say something"?

They weren't hard for me to find, either.

We're the Only Ones Remote Enough

Detectives with the Atlanta Police Department's (APD) homicide unit used a drone to arrest a man suspected in the shooting death of Thomas Jefferson Byrd, an actor who appeared in several flicks directed by Spike Lee. The video of the incident, filmed from the drone's point of view, is dystopic and outlines law enforcement's increasing use of drones. [More]

I dunno -- it seemed to end better than a live-action "no-knock warrant."

Anybody determine if the killer used a ".44 Bulldog"...?

A Bad Case of the Kneesles

Charlie Kirk says he will 'bend the knee' to Twitter, delete tweet that got him locked out [More]

Why not? He's already bent two.

I don't get the controversy here. This isn't like a ban  because he's a "conservative." He is an election influencer who published demonstrably wrong information. Since when does that not call for a commitment to promoting the truth, regardless of professional embarrassment?

A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words

It doesn't matter what excuses he offers or even what the ultimate truth of the matter is--the fact is most people won't dive into the weeds for it where most DSM sources will bury it -- if presenting it at all. In one masterstroke that will influence past the election, the left now has an instant counter for every time Rudy points a finger at Hunter.

And Drudge helped. Again.

As an aside, I just don't see how it is possible for anyone with any media experience to be taken in by someone posing as a journalist or other person of note. It's not like we don't have the internet to do some basic scouting to see who they are and what they're about -- including if they really have a track record under the name they give.
