Reactions to NFL Knee Jerks

Oath Keepers leadership sounds off on the new NFL policy.  [More]
I know I won't be watching any games.

Of course, I never watched anyway, not just because I could not care less, but because NFL has made its opposition to our right to keep and bear arms more than clear, and any gun owner that supports them in any way is literally giving aid and comfort to the (domestic) enemy.

Opening Kickoff

NFL opening weekend sees more Star-Spangled Banner protests [More]
The NFL could stop this tomorrow if they wanted to.

If you attend or watch, you're enabling it. It's not like the type of men America needs don't have better things to do.

Turnabout Verboten

NFL to play Black anthem before national anthem [More]
I wonder how the mob will react if an individual, be it player or fan, refuses to stand or takes a knee. Forget ruined careers: They'll be lucky to make it out of the stadium alive.

NFL?

Do any gun owners who aren't total Fudds or kapos still go to these things?

UPDATE (via Laocoön): Some much-needed perspective:

And He Always Seemed Like Such a Nice Young Man

The Las Vegas Raiders are releasing 2020 first-round draft pick Damon Arnette, who is currently being scrutinized by the NFL’s league office after a video surfaced on TikTok allegedly showing the cornerback making threats against an unnamed man as Arnette wielded what appeared to be firearms. [More]

What can I say but "NFL"? I guess there are some feral psychopaths the money men just can't cover for. And not everyone could get away with such liberal use of the "n" word...

To show you how much I care about keeping up with league happenings, I thought the Raiders were in Oakland.

Do Not Attempt to Adjust the Picture. We are Controlling Transmission.

Why didn't TV networks show angry, booing NFL fans Sunday or Monday? ... NBC Sports, CBS Sports, Fox Sports and ESPN pay billions each year to televise live NFL games. The league saw this weekend's unprecedented anthem coverage as a golden opportunity to demonstrate unity among players, coaches and owners -- and opposition to Trump's comments. [More]
Bastards.  Commie-enabling goddamn bastards.

I'm wondering if this license abuse is beyond the purview of the FCC, and if perhaps that's a necessary evil considering the potential for abuse with the alternative.

I also had a thought about vulnerability in a "free society." I wouldn't put false flag ops past those bent on control by discrediting "deplorables." They wouldn't even need a Reichstag fire, just the "anonymous threat" of one on game day.

Don't give 'em any ideas?

You seriously think the enemies of freedom haven't figured out the logistics for all kinds of scenarios? Bracken showed how little would be needed.

Hell, in this case, there's even been a major Hollywood movie...

Now that sides have been drawn and emotions ginned to fever pitch, what did Rahm Emanuel say about a crisis going to waste?

Are "we" being set up? And would it be enough for the establishment to bring Trump down, by blaming him for inciting hate and violence?

Let's Hear It for Our 'Sports Heroes'!

NFL’s first male cheerleaders to make Super Bowl debut in Atlanta [More]
The big question: Will they kneel?

No, I mean during the anthem.

I so don't care about anything NFL except to express contempt.

Bloomberg Superbowl Ad Counting on Fan Ignorance and Apathy about Rights

As for the NFL, it’s hostility to the Second Amendment is no secret to Americans who care more for the right of the people to keep and bear arms than they do for bread and circuses. League gutlessness, on the National Anthem and in its “Standard of Conduct” mandating player defenselessness, tells us all we need to know. The hiring of ex-ATF honcho and Fast and Furious cover-up king B. Todd Jones as special counsel for player misconduct tells us a bit more. [More]
It figures he’d pose in front of a flag neither he nor many NFL players stand for.

NFL Choosing Snoop Dogg for Halftime Show Ignores Settlement with Underage Girls

Speaking of that video, no one in media seems interested in the undisclosed settlement to get the underage girls to drop their lawsuit accusing Snoop and the production of acts to “solicit, lure, entice and pressure, through the use of their celebrity status and through offers of illegal narcotics such as marijuana and ‘ecstasy’ … [the two underage women] to disrobe and expose their breasts for the purpose of use in a ‘Girls Gone Wild’ film” (and the TBS money men who gave him the game show gig know about that but don’t care). [More]

Curious, how all the #MeToo and #BelieveWomen "feminists" and the "liberal" media don't care about "woke" @NFL @NBC and @pepsi headlining someone who reportedly made an undisclosed settlement to make charges go away.

Mainstream press confirms ATF's Jones going to NFL

“This is a joke, right?” retired agent Jay Dobyns asked incredulously... [More]
This morning's Gun Rights Examiner report notes a curious assignment, expecting the guy who gave a pass to corruption and retaliated against whistleblowers to rein in NFL's thug population.

Exclusive: O Say Can You See

“Decades of woman beating, rapes, illegal drug use, gambling, dogfighting, and all of a sudden the NFL cares about social justice,” a poster making the rounds on the internet notes. USA Today maintains an NFL Arrest Database giving credence to the meme-maker’s wry observation. Especially when you consider the large number of internecine killings no one is taking a knee for. It's Not About the Flag

NFL players on protesting: 'It's not about the flag' [More]
Don't tell us. Tell him:
"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game.
And there's a real double standard when it comes to "free speech."

The thing is, it's really not about the flag. It's about two countries.

Legal compliance firm for gun dealers says B. Todd Jones leaving ATF for NFL

“I’m hearing from credible sources that Director Jones will be leaving ATF soon, possibly as early as next week, and leaving government as well, to take a private sector job,” Gun Rights Examiner informed ATF’s Public Affairs/Media Relations spokesperson in a Thursday morning telephone conversation inviting a for-the-record comment. “One source mentioned the NFL is bringing him on board as investigative counsel. I am told Deputy Director [Thomas] Brandon will become Acting Director.” [More]
This afternoon's Gun Rights Examiner report notes what could either be a scoop or egg on my face. Stay tuned and we'll either see me humiliated or someone else get the major media hat tip.

Doesn't Fit More Than One Narrative

NFL player Phillip Adams killed 5, then himself [More]

NFL, eh?

And there must be something wrong with the profile...

Scrap another star in the resurrection mission...

Yet somehow, I know my selfishness is to blame.

New Lies for Old

They’re not taking a knee because they’re against our flag. [More]
That will certainly come as a surprise to Colin Kaepernick:
"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game.
And lest we forget:
“The Colin Kaepernick Foundation donated in April $25,000 to Assata’s Daughters, a Chicago ‘direct action’ resistance organization honoring Assata Shakur, who escaped prison and fled to Cuba after being found guilty in the 1973 murder of Officer Werner Foerster.”
That's what this coward is kneeling for, and through his position putting unconscionable pressure on individual players who may not want to kneel but fear ruination and the trashing of a lifetime of work and achievement to get where they are. It's not optional.

We know it extends lower, to school teams and youth leagues. Who would subject their child to the choice between being true to themselves and being condemned by his adult-manipulated peers just to play sports, or surrendering to the pressure and learning that betrayal of conscience is the social expectation if one wishes to survive and advance?

Ideologically, this is conscience rape, equivalent to Harvey Weinstein saying if you want a place at my table, you'll need to take TWO knees.

Does any gun owner still patronize the anti-gun NFL? Why?

Double Racist?

Either that or he's making unsolicited advances...

Hey, we know an NFL player holding up a fist is deemed "free speech."  What would happen to one who did this?

An Unwavering Patriot

Why else would cite economic "advantages" of the "Kamala-Biden ticket"? [More]

Interesting order he put that in.

Are any gun owners still watching NFL games?

Why?

Winging It

Customers at a Buffalo Wild Wings in Eastvale say an employee refused to let them hear the anthem before an NFL game Monday night – which happened to be the 16th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. [More]
That's OK, a spokesman says it's not company policy.

This is.

Not-so ‘Racist’ Gun Range Billboard in N.J. Criticizes NFL Kneelers

He’s disrespecting the flag, disrespecting the country, and laying a damnable charge that some of us would argue is instead reflective of destructive collectivist policies. We would argue Democrat urban rule encourages social and economic marginalization and generational dependency in  order to secure a voting demographic  they can take for granted, and that’s the true discrimination and oppression. [More]
I guess the only "free speech" that matters is theirs.

Paving the Way?

I've seen that speculation. [More]

I don't think so.  Jones was looking for a way out for some time, and Holder's imminent departure would only increase his vulnerability, plus, my sense of things is that negotiations with NFL would have probably preceded the ammo debacle.

So it's not like I want to publicly disagree with Kurt, but I've been asked before about this and the answer I've been giving is the one I just stated. Besides, I said something nice about him last week and still haven't received my dollar.

Refusal to Stand for Flag a Manipulated Widening of National Divide Approved by Unprincipled NFL Leadership

Putting on a team uniform and appearing at an event paid for by others means you’re no longer representing yourself, you’re representing those employing you. [More]
The agenda-motivated lie here is that "First Amendment rights" have anything to do with this in-your-face display of contempt for everything "progressivism" is intent on tearing down.
