Miller was released from jail on something called an “I-bond,” which allows a person to leave jail without paying any bail as long they promise to return to court for their hearing. [More]
And what happened next, you ask?
If this doesn't highlight the need for more "commonsense gun reforms," nothing will.

Let's remind people of this incident when *resident Biden pushes for his "national gun waiting period" law and his "universal background check law" and his "red flag law." A woman like this faced with an unexpected threat (the release of her batterer) would then no longer be able to buy or even borrow a gun in time to prevent a horror like this.
ReplyDeleteThis is exactly what happened to Bonnie Elmasri (WI) and Polly Przybyl (NY), would have happened to Sonya Miller (VA), Virgen Blanca (TX), and Rayna Ross (VA) if such laws had been in place, and almost happened to Catherine Latta (NC) if she had not broken those laws to "illegally" obtain the gun that saved her life.
As our host and others have said, it would appear that the Left would rather see women forcibly raped then strangled with their own panty hose than see their attempted rapists shot dead.
ReplyDelete"Gun control: The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound." ~ L. Neil Smith
