Much Ado About Nothing

 CNN's Josh Campbell got inside access to a new task force in Washington using cutting-edge technology to identify and lock up shooters before they strike again. [More]

But they didn't do that, did they?

Instead, we get gushing praise for ATF's Mobile Boondoggle Wagon that appears to have all the resource-wasting promise of Chipman's Shotpotter scan.

Who thinks any of these crimes will trace back to anyone who completed a transfer record?

Instead, what I see is a crack tech tainting evidence by rendering recovered shell casings inadmissible for fingerprints, as if gangbangers glove up before loading magazines:


And when the goal of reducing shootings doesn't happen?

No worries. They'll demand more citizen disarmament and, importantly, more money.

And CNN will send another metrosexual "real reporter" in to gush.

  1. More mobile magic? What ever happened to the Z scan vans of 15-20 years back that were going to nekkid scan every citizen in range and see through the skin of your vehicle to discover contraband?
