Years ago I read a scifi sword & sorcery story of which the title and author right now escapes me. But in the story the head bad guy captures the hero, has a "jewel" implanted in the hero's forehead, then turns him loose. The "jewel" is of course a video/audio capture device that cannot be removed or shut off.
Tag Congress with something like that and I might, over time, learn to have more trust in the good guys. The bad guys? Not in this lifetime. The "Dark Side" runs too deep in them.
